Overview
You will manage AirBills’ relationships with utility providers across our customer portfolios — disputing incorrect bills, optimizing service-transfer flows, and keeping the operational machine running.
What you’ll do
- Manage day-to-day relationships with utility providers nationwide.
- Dispute incorrect bills and track resolutions to closure.
- Run service transfers (move-in / move-out) for customer portfolios.
- Triage exception cases that the platform can not auto-resolve.
- Document playbooks for repeatable utility-ops scenarios.
- Flag systemic issues to Product so we can automate them away.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years in utility billing, property management ops, or related field.
- Comfortable on the phone with utility providers (sometimes for a while).
- Detail-oriented; you spot the $43 line-item discrepancy.
- Comfortable in spreadsheets and modern web apps.
- Calm under pressure — escalations are part of the job.
Nice to have
- Background at Conservice, NWP, RealPage, or similar utility-mgmt platforms.
- Familiarity with utility provider portals across multiple regions.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish).
Compensation & location
Base salary (mid-point)
$70,000
Range: $60,000 – $82,000 base
Location: Nashville, TN
Final offer depends on experience, location, and interview signal. Equity grants come with every offer. We also cover health, dental, vision, and a learning budget.

We are a remote-first team and Operations is how customers feel the product. You will partner closely with CS and Engineering to automate the work over time.
